The Opera Guild for Atlanta was delighted to sponsor the Georgia District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Kopleff Recital Hall on the Georgia State University campus.

This year’s judges were:

• John Churchwell, San Francisco Opera
• Victoria Livengood, mezzo-soprano
• Gayletha Nichols, Executive Director Metropolitan National Council (MONC) Auditions

The judges awarded two first prizes this year. Congratulations to Alan Higgs, bass-baritone and Kellie Motter, soprano, (pictured above) who will advance to the Southeast Region MONC auditions at Spivey Hall Sunday, February 12, 2017!
